Birthday Boy March 28, 2011!!

It's official...my baby is now in Double Digits!!!! It's seems just like yesterday we were rushing to the hospital at dawn to have him only 48 minutes after arriving! He is such an awesome athlete, excellent student, everyones friend, a true leader, and has a heart as big as Texas...(and he doesn't have any problem giving his mom kisses and hugs in front of the kids at school and I see him a lot!!) He is my big man and I am so proud of my bubby boo, my bry bry, and my big B! Butterflies, eskimos, and zerberts Bryson....Mom loves you and Happy 10th Birthday!

Special Olympics

Participated in my first ever Special Olympics track meet yesterday!  If I get permission I will upload some photos. Wow! I don't even know what to say other than guess what...I cried again!! They were definitely tears of admiration, joy and love for the children we took to run, jump, and throw their hearts out! To see them running on the big jumbo screen and smiling at the finish line was enough to go through a box of kleenex alone! I was the most proud of their love for their teammates! We cheered soooo much, I can not talk today! (which some may call that a blessing)
I just want to say congrats to the entire Magnolia Magic Special Olympics teams! We have another meet next Friday with even more events to conquer!!

Taste One...

It's back to school and my KIDS are Home!!! I wasn't sure how getting back to a real schedule would be but, so far so good. During my off time at school I was able to get vocab done and copied reading material for other class! Kids and I came home to the aroma of roast, carrots and potatoes! Put in the garlic bread and voila...! Had dinner, clean kitchen, showered and now homework for all of us..weird! I had the talk with my sweeties about how mom may be a little more "off the wall" than normal...they laughed and next thing I knew my son was folding laundry! I should have gone back to school years ago!!!!
I am doing "biggest looser" at school and our first week was spring break!!! BUT I lost 4.8 pounds! HAHA all the stress and only eating sprite & pringles paid off! I gained it all back tonight with my roast! We also started a blog! I'll post some tips & recipes when I get them! Enjoy
Crockpot roast:
Beef round roast
1 package of Onion soup mix
1 can Real Coke
Chunked potatoes
sliced carrots
sliced onion
cook in crockpot for the length of time you need!

Bye-Bye Spring Break

After a VERY long week of getting used to going back to college, I think I have finally worked out a plan. But my plan is sure to change once my kids finally come home. (hehe) YEAH they are coming back from their island get away and I can't wait!! I spent most of my week inside the house in my pajamas in front of the computer sooooo frustrated and thinking I couldn't possibly do this! I did it!! All my assignments were turned in and some graded..100"s!!! I was able to finally get wireless hooked up (not as easy as 1..2..3..) and I have had my own sunny retreat by the pool in my own backyard...this is my kind of college!!! I rounded down my weekend with good friends, finally eating real food other than pringles and sprite, and many laughs!!!
Church this morning was once again inspiring and helpful and the blessings I needed to hear. What are the odds he preached a sermon on technology and that is the theme for this weeks writing assignment in my Lifelong Learners class??!!! God is Good!! So, even though this years spring break was by far the hardest I have ever endured, once again I am being made to say thanks...and see that I will be just fine!

My Favorite place to be---Rayburn Park!!

Papa, can we go for a boat ride?

Nana...say cheese!

Help!

Ok, you can stop for a minute!

An Eagle had flown across the water behind a boat so I ran and grabbed my camera. He dove down to the water and scooped up a bass!

He flew over to a pine tree where he sat on a limb and ate his lunch. We watched him forever!

On your mark, get set...

I beat dad this morning!

Smoochy smoochy!

I finally caught a keeper!

The one that didn't get away!

Here I go....

I did it! I started a Blog! I have absolutely no idea what I am doing so I welcome any comments on "How To's" for my site.
Starting over can be so hard yet soooo rewarding! I say that as I'm wiping the tears from my face for oh...the tenth time today! But, I can check another college assignment off my never ending "To Do" list. I am looking forward to continuing with this experience by reading and learning from others. Time to go re-apply the mascara!!
