It's back to school and my KIDS are Home!!! I wasn't sure how getting back to a real schedule would be but, so far so good. During my off time at school I was able to get vocab done and copied reading material for other class! Kids and I came home to the aroma of roast, carrots and potatoes! Put in the garlic bread and voila...! Had dinner, clean kitchen, showered and now homework for all of us..weird! I had the talk with my sweeties about how mom may be a little more "off the wall" than normal...they laughed and next thing I knew my son was folding laundry! I should have gone back to school years ago!!!!
I am doing "biggest looser" at school and our first week was spring break!!! BUT I lost 4.8 pounds! HAHA all the stress and only eating sprite & pringles paid off! I gained it all back tonight with my roast! We also started a blog! I'll post some tips & recipes when I get them! Enjoy
Crockpot roast:
Beef round roast
1 package of Onion soup mix
1 can Real Coke
Chunked potatoes
sliced carrots
sliced onion
cook in crockpot for the length of time you need!
"Tasting what I'm made of" is such an empowering statement for me. I am a huge fan of the group Rascal Flatts and have found their words to have new and profound meanings relating to my life. My family and I are traveling down a "Broken Road", and God has tested my abilities to encourage, stand up, be accountable, laugh, cry, move forward, be thankful, and ...taste what I'm made of!
Sounds Yummy. I think I'm gonna cook this tomorrow for our Sunday dinner.
